Monkey Music's Rock Hard Funk, a 2-CD collection
of funk and funk-rock drum loops and samples with
over 1000 acoustic grooves to inspire any serious
"groove intensive" project. Mix the

grooves. We captured the grooves of several
accomplished funk and rock drummers. We set them
loose to a variety of different tempos and feels.
We've recorded the beautiful sounds of a maple
Drum Workshop recording kit and made sure to complement
the 1000+ loops with a matching set of multi-velocity
drum samples from the kit used in recording the
loops. We've also included a matching set of cymbal
samples to allow greater flexibility in drum track

Hard Funk: We hope
the previews do this two-CD set justice.
Think of this disc as rock attitude and sound but with the chops of funk and fusion. There are just SO MANY great grooves that
is was hard to just put up a handful and
give the full scope of tempos and rythmic
feels. We hope you get the flavor of what
we going for - very intense grooves from
start to finish - there is little of the
boring "this sounds like a drum machine"
type stuff you find from other discs.
Plus, we have to say, the chops are majorly
on display. Nothing was held back in terms
of just letting it rip on the drums.
We wanted this
disc to inspire musicians out there, to
push them into new rythmic territories,
to explore new feels and vibes. Of course,
if you need some straight stuff, it would
be a breeze to program a straight "
2 and 4" kind of groove with all
the multi-velocity samples we've included.
So, in the end, we hope you get the both
of best worlds here, for more styles of
music that we can probably imagine. Enjoy
