Just what the world needs - another funky drum loop disc! Yes, we know there are many out there, but none seemed to deliver the kinds of grooves we wanted most - the fat and syncopated funkiness of the golden era of funk and R&B.
So, with a thirst for all things funky, we brought out a classic Gretsch kit, made sure the sound was tight and dry with that certain fatness our ears love, and went to work! This is as natural and gritty as you would expect - no over-processing or pushing the close mics too hard - this is all about the room, the kit, and the player. Looking for super-compressed and drenched in reverb type drum sounds? You won't find that in here!
